Following the various power outages in recent years and the blackout of August 27, 2025, the Regulatory Authority of Curaçao (RAC) together with the consulting agency ENGIE/Laborelec initiated an independent investigation into utility company Aqualectra.
The investigation report examines the implementation of improvement measures, the blackout, and the restoration process, with a focus on strengthening the stability and reliability of the electricity system.
