Application forms for Authorizations

Pursuant to the National Ordinance on telecommunications provisions (Official Gazette 2011, no. 37) an application must be submitted to obtain an authorization for the installation, maintenance, operation or commercializing of a radio-electric transmitting installation.

In order to facilitate the application procedure, you may download the form below which is relevant for your application.

Application form 080x, 090x, 92xx, 93xx numbers

080x and 090x numbers

080x numbers are intended to provide services through the telephone to the public, where the costs of calls are charged to the service provider. The caller does not need to pay for the call conversation.

090x numbers are intended to provide paid services to the public through the telephone, where the costs of the calls are used as payment for the service provided.

080x and 090x number series pertain to non-geographical numbers, which means that 080x and 090x number series are telephone numbers with a non-geographically determined destination.

92xx and 93xx numbers

92xx and 93xx short code numbers are intended for the government to deliver public services or private companies to deliver commercial services.

A short code number is exclusively intended for local use, inter-island and international calls are not possible.

Application procedure

Completed application forms may be submitted personally or by post to the RAC office:

Together with your application form please also submit all required documents and statements. More information about these mandatory documents can be read under Authorizations.
Application forms that are identified as “PDF” in the list above cannot be completed online.

Digital Applications

Applications that can be completed fully online no longer need to be submitted at the RAC office or by post to RAC. In these applications, all relevant data including all corresponding required documents, must be submitted via the online form. This currently applies to the License application for vessels.

*Currently there is a scarcity of available frequencies for radio broadcasts and (analog) television broadcasts. These types of Applications for authorization can therefore only be considered subject to availability.
